Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026-11-03 Operator of this instance: NextCore BD Contact: [OPERATOR_CONTACT] Governing law: [JURISDICTION]

By using this instance of OSINT Hub you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.

1. What this is

OSINT Hub is open-source software that helps you look up publicly available information and keeps a directory of third-party OSINT tools. This instance is run by the operator above. The people who wrote the software are not the operator of this instance unless they say so, and are not responsible for how an instance is run or used.

2. Who may use it

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these terms. If you use it for an organisation, you confirm you may bind that organisation.

3. Your responsibilities

You agree that you will:

  1. Follow all laws that apply to you and to the target, including laws on computer misuse, privacy, data protection, harassment and stalking.
  2. Investigate only targets you are entitled to investigate: your own assets, assets you have written permission to examine, or genuine public-interest research such as journalism, fact-checking or academic work.
  3. Follow the Acceptable Use Policy, which is part of these terms.
  4. Choose an honest purpose for each investigation. The purpose and a keyed hash of the target are recorded in the audit log.
  5. Keep your login details private and tell the operator if you think someone else used them.
  6. Check results yourself before you rely on or act on them.
  7. Respect the terms of the third-party services this tool queries.

4. What you must not do

Everything in the Acceptable Use Policy. In short: no stalking, harassment, threats, doxxing, blackmail, fraud, unlawful surveillance, targeting children, hiring/credit/housing/insurance decisions about people, attempts to break into systems, or attempts to get around the limits of this service.

5. Results come with no promises

Results come from public sources that can be wrong, incomplete, out of date or about a different person or thing with the same name. A username match is not proof of identity. See the Disclaimer. You use the results at your own risk.

6. Third-party services

The tool sends your targets to third-party services to get answers (see the Privacy Policy). Those services are not controlled by the operator. They may change, limit or stop working at any time.

7. Your data

How your data is handled is described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for what you save into cases. Do not save more personal data than you need.

8. Suspension and ending access

The operator may limit, suspend or end your access at any time, especially if there is a reason to believe these terms were broken. The operator may keep records and report suspected illegal activity to the authorities where the law allows or requires it. You may stop using the service at any time and delete your saved cases.

9. Warranty

The service and the software are provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranty, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability or non-infringement. This does not remove rights that the law says cannot be removed.

10. Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, the operator and the authors and contributors of the software are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for loss of profit, data, reputation or goodwill, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service or the results, even if told it could happen. Where the law does not allow a limit on liability, the liability is limited to the smallest amount the law permits. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

11. You are responsible for your use

If you break these terms or the law, you are responsible for what follows. To the extent the law allows, you agree to cover the operator and the authors and contributors of the software against claims, losses and costs that come from your misuse of the service.

12. The software licence

The source code is released under the MIT Licence, which governs your rights to the code. These terms govern your use of this running instance.

13. Changes

The operator may change these terms. The date above shows the latest version. If you keep using the service after a change, you accept the new terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION]. Courts there have the authority to settle disputes, unless the law where you live gives you rights that say otherwise.
